Meiji Inverted Microscopes are ruggedly and ergonomically constructed for demanding cell culture applications. They are designed to accept a wide range of specimen holders for maximum flexibility. A rugged cast-metal frame provides years of use. All microscopes come standard with an infinity corrected optical system (F=200 mm). Units are supplied with either Siedentopf type binocular head inclined at 30°or a trinocular head inclined at 45°. Interpupillary distance is adjustable from 53 to 75 mm. A graduated diopter on the left eye-tube is standard on all units. All included eyepieces are SWH 10x—order additional eyepieces below. Nosepiece is quintuple turret with precision click stops. All units include a camera port. Illumination is provided by a 6 V, 30 W halogen lamp and extra-long working distance (ELWD) 73 mm condensers N.A. 0.30. Units include 10x and 20x Plan Achromat, Plan Achromat phase, or Plan Achromat fluorescence objectives. Low-position coaxial coarse and fine focus control knobs come standard. The provided glass stage insert allows the user to view objective through stage while in use. An optional attachable mechanical stage with 112 mm (X) x 72 mm (Y) movement is also available. Plan Achromat models come standard with cobalt clear filter in 51-mm mount. Plan Achromat phase models come standard with green interference filter in 51-mm mount. Plan Achromat fluorescence microscopes come standard with both a basic blue and basic green excitation filter set in QUBE. Additional optional filters are available below. All objectives are infinity corrected.
